Motivation: Can it come easily?


Some days we’re extremely pumped. Getting chores done, doing things one after the other. On the other days, we just don’t feel like doing anything. We want to sit and watch a movie, eat ice cream, stand at the window and look up at the clouds, lie on the couch. We can feel demotivated for hours, days and months.

“Sometimes we need to take a step back in order to take a step forward.” Although we know that its okay yet we beat ourselves up into thinking that we would miss out on certain things if we do so. So what if we miss out? Is the world ending? Are we not going to get back on track some day? Have we not worked so hard to deserve some time off? Look at it in this way. In order to fill an entire glass of water, the jug you'd be using to fill the glass, needs to have water filled in itself first. If not then there could be 2 things that would potentially happen. 1) You're filling air into the glass 2) You've half filled the glass with water Now what if the jug was full. By pouring water into the glass from the jug, you'd definitely have a glass filled with water. Without a doubt!!! (unless you don't feel like drinking a glass full of water, which is not my point) So what I'm trying to say is if you want to give your full potential (in any case, I know you do), just do what you have to do. Take a break and start again. It doesn't matter if it's a Monday. We all need a recharge and that necessarily doesn't have to be a weekend. It can be anytime, any day. And that's okay too.


Doing this will give you time to take things slow and hit the reset button. You’ll be able to give more than what you potentially would do. Trust me and do it. You need it more than ever. No one will tell you this but I will. I don’t know what you’re going through right now but I know everything will change. And everything will be alright. You have come so far, you’ve got this.

I always feel talking to people about how you feel can make a major difference. Acknowledge how you feel and don’t ignore it.
