Holy crap (excuse my language), It’s almost end of the weekend and damn I have 6 more days ahead of me with countless tasks including meal preps, organizing my wardrobe, my study table, cleaning the storage, tidying up the fridge and how can I forget vacuuming. Wait - that’s not all. I have laundry, settling my bills and gosh I can write an entire article on what I need to get done. Not kidding!!!

The more I try to finish up, the more I have on my plate and if you’re working full time I understand if you’d say “It’s weekend and I want to relax and do absolutely NOTHING.” Trust me - I get it. Big time.
Well, what if I tell you that I can help. Like I’m dead serious because I got your back (always).
Here are my top 5 TRICKS to assist you folks to the pathway of productivity. And mind you, it’s totally okay if you don’t get it right on the first go. I am not perfect either but one quote that I recently read made me feel extremely POWERFUL and it goes like this “At the end of the day, remind yourself that you did the best you could today, and that is good enough.”- Lori Deschene
Just like how youtubers would say - Without further ado lets get into the video (Oops article hahah)
For the first tip, you’ll need the following items:
- A pen and a book lol
1) Lets get to PLANNING!!!
What I usually like to do before going to bed is making a list of things I need to accomplish for the next day. I like to have to have them in bullet points so that when I complete a task, I tick it off. Trust me that feels really good. You might call me old fashioned but the satisfaction of ticking each item off is a real treat you guys. Additionally, I like to add a motivating phrase after each item. For example- Do laundry > Yeye fresh clothes, smells good!! See what I did there.
I wrote the results down as well. It helps me to the core. I mean who doesn’t like fresh smelling laundry. I can sleep in that lol.

3) A little GAME for your MIND
This is a clever tip that I recently came up with. It’s called “trick it to pick it”. Okay I made that up because it rhymed. How about we trick the mind by telling ourselves that whatever is on the checklist is an urgent task to complete. I find it very helpful. When I think that way, I feel obligated to complete the task because its urgent and there maybe consequences attached to it which is again another trick that I like to add.
2) Build a ROUTINE
According to cosmetic surgeon Dr. Maxwell Maltz and from his famous self help book called “Psycho Cybernetics”, it can take up to 21-30 days to build a habit. Routines are nice. Once you feel comfortable, you’ll do it automatically. The moment you train your mind; things will flow instinctive. Trust me it worked for me but again what works for me would not necessarily work for you. Our mind is like a muscle, you train it and you’ll notice the results.
4) Be ACCOUNTABLE
You know that if you don’t complete certain assignments, it will just add on and ultimately pile up. This will again add on to your pre-existing 1000’s of things to do and you will definitely get overwhelmed (just the way I got at the beginning of this article). Why do you want to trouble yourself? Why not complete little things everyday and make it simple for ourselves? There is a nice quote I remember reading but I can’t find the source “Someday it will all make perfect sense”- Unknown.
5) Let’s DETOX
Now you might wonder why am I talking about detox. Isn’t that for your body and mind? Yes, you’re right it is. Well, I’m talking about social media detox which directly contributes to your mind and soul as well. What I mean by this is that to take a break from social media. Take baby steps. I started social media detox for a day. I know it’s a lot for most of us especially during quarantine. You might ask what are we suppose to do then right? Well, that’s another topic that I will be covering in my next article. Getting back to the point, this is one of my favorite tips. As I said, I started with a day and ended up doing it for a week. And trust me I did not miss much. In fact, I got to complete a whole lot of other stuff.
Those were my top 5 tips for you guys. So I was feeling a little extra and that’s why the next tip is a BONUS from my end.
6) It’s TREAT time hun
I know, I know. I was suppose to give away an additional tip but you’re already trying so hard. The above 5 tips look simple but imagine doing this on a day you feel demotivated? Not so good after all, eh? It’s okay to go back to square one. We are all trying everyday. Be kind to yourself for reading this article in order to feel motivated because you deserve it.
One step at a time honey. You got this. Stick around and you’ll see the rewards. We are our own GURUS. We teach and train ourselves. All we need is a little pump from la juillet.
I hope this helps you and if it does then please share this with your friends and family. Also write to me about it or message me on Instagram, I’d be more than happy to hear from you.
Until next time Muchachos
- Lots of Love from la juillet
